As a full-service small animal hospital, we provide a broad range of medical, surgical, and preventive services that allow our team members to utilize and expand their clinical skills.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Safely restrain and handle canine and feline patients
Obtain patient histories and document medical records accurately
Administer medications as directed
Perform phlebotomy, sample collection, and laboratory testing
Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the medical team
Surgery & Anesthesia Support
Prepare surgical patients for procedures
Assist with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
Support dental procedures and surgical workflows
Maintain surgical equipment and treatment areas
Client Education & Communication
Educate clients on medications, preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Communicate with empathy and professionalism during every interaction
Help strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and patient advocacy
Hospital Operations
Assist with inventory, pharmacy support, and treatment area organization
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the hospital
Collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient patient flow and workflow management

What We're Looking For
Minimum 1+ year of veterinary experience required
Experience working as a Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, RVT, CVT, or LVT
Strong understanding of veterinary clinical workflows
Comfortable supporting exams, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
Excellent communication and client education skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred
Experience with:
Phlebotomy
Laboratory procedures
Surgical preparation
Anesthesia monitoring
Dental procedures

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods of time throughout the workday
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently, and assist with lifting larger patients using team-lift techniques and available equipment
Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats of various sizes, temperaments, and medical conditions
Perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity, including handling medical instruments, administering treatments, and entering medical records
Work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
Communicate effectively with clients and team members in person, over the phone, and through written documentation
Move throughout the hospital quickly and efficiently in response to patient care needs
Work Environment
Veterinary team members should be comfortable working in an environment that may include exposure to:
Animal dander, fur, saliva, urine, feces, and other bodily fluids
Cleaning agents, disinfectants, and veterinary-specific chemicals
Anesthetic gases and pharmaceutical products used in patient care
Medical equipment, laboratory materials, and radiology equipment
Noise associated with barking dogs, vocalizing animals, and medical equipment
Emotionally challenging situations involving injured, ill, or end-of-life patients
Team members are expected to follow all hospital safety protocols, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working environment for patients, clients, and fellow team members.
